On Wednesday (Oct 28) Lauren appeared on MTV’s It’s On with Alexa Chung. I’ve been unable to find a video of the interview other than the one directly from MTV which is unavailable for anyone outside of the US.

I did however manage to gather images of Lauren arriving at the MTV studios. I’ve uploaded 14 HQ & MQ images of her arrival to the gallery.

Lauren will be appearing on MTV’s It’s On with Alexa Chung today live at 3:30pm ET/PT promoting Where The Wild Things Are.

I apologise for the late notice, I literally just found out. I’ll be sure to update with a video if possible once it airs.

By complete chance I was flicking through an issue of this month’s Marie Claire (US) during my lunch. And who else but Lauren would grace the ‘Radar’ feature this month. I reluctantly brought the copy and have scanned and uploaded her single page feature to the site!

As I’m sure you’re all aware of by now, Where The Wild Things Are topped the US Box-Office this past weekend. The film grossed an impressive $32.7M. Below is a summary of the top five and their weekend intake.

4 Couples Retreat – $17.2M
5 The Stepfather – $11.6M

Today, one of the most anticipated films of the year is released in theatres all across North America. Do check your local cinema and IMAX listings and be sure not to miss Spike Jonze’s enchanted Where The Wild Things Are!

Yesterday (October 13) was the New York Premiere of Where The Wild Things Are! Lauren was thankfully in attendance looking positively delightful in a unique dusted rose number. Needless to say major additions have been added to the gallery. 60+ medium and hi-res photos from the premiere have been uploaded with more to follow in the coming days.

I’ve updated the press archive yet again with an interview with Lauren, Catherine O’Hara and Forrest Whitaker discussing, what else, but Where The Wild Things Are:

“So, we had so little. It’s this little jewel so what is Spike Jonze going to come up with to make this alive? I think, I don’t know…I was shocked by the sheer imagination of it all. How are you going to fill that in from when he gets there and when he wants to go home? I think there was just once sentence for that (laughs)! What happened? That’s what the movie is about. In creating these relationships, all of that was an interesting discovery to see what he came up with.”

With the North American release of Where The Wild Things Are just a mere few days away, press and promotion for the film is in full swing. Both The New Yorker and Variety have released their reviews.

Lauren was also interviewed by The Boston Herald. Discussing her experience voicing KW, the process and working with Spike on his vision.

“I’m thinking, ‘What is this jewel going to be?’ and then Spike started beating me up and he was so physical, and all of a sudden I’m going, ‘What’s happening! Why am I being attacked? This isn’t ‘Jackass the Movie,’ which Spike produced.”
She laughed, “He was very physical and got me to be physical, and I got to be a wild woman lying on the floor. It was really organic and earthy.”
